Who is Eiksenteret?
Eikmaskin is a venerable Norwegian company with roots dating back to 1906. Eiksenteret was established as a franchise chain in 1985, based on the desire and need for local ownership and presence in key agricultural areas throughout the country. With Eikmaskin as the chain provider and head office, the individual Eikcenters have a large apparatus behind them with direct connections to the parent company AGCO. This provides collegial connections to the tractor factories Fendt, Valtra, and Massey Ferguson.

Challenges and Opportunities
With a franchise chain of 36 dealers in Norway, we lacked the overview and control over each individual franchise and handling of logistics. The starting point was a system used by all units that had become overwhelming in daily use. And then there was the challenge of staying updated with changes within agriculture with the existing system.
Why SAP Business One and BitPeople
We wanted to have full oversight of all our EIKcenters, to better service the chain, and create additional sales as well as improve the quality of this. We wanted a future-proof ERP system. BitPeople have been able to implement our SAP Business One solution without a single day of downtime.

We have received support for our internal processes. We have seen a reduction in maintenance costs. We have gained more time to spend on each customer. The implementation was completed within the estimated time and budget, without operational disruptions or delays in all 36 independent implementations.
There are fewer and fewer farmers, but those who exist are becoming larger. It is important that we are able to serve them – not only with the purchase of a tractor but also in the sale of accessories. We needed help to achieve this.
